SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to maximize the value and protect the integrity of the content in the Learning Content Management System. The LCMS (OutStart Evolution) houses the intellectual property of an industry and must be managed in such a way that the value of every asset can be capitalized on through derivative works, rapid content development, and currency. This position will support the LCMS administration and liaise continually with content stakeholders, especially instructional designers and instructors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain content integrity
Partner with content developers across departments
Conduct research and provide feedback on content reusability
Assist with set up and maintenance around LCMS metadata, authoring templates, and themes
Assist with governance of content (structure and reusability)
Partner with and train other departments/clients on the system
Support system administration
Import content, configure elements, apply metadata
Export for multiple delivery methods
Import/export content for translation or other uses
Maintain documentation around business processes and procedures
Monitor and maintain governance of tools (how used, licenses)
Provide level 2 support to end users and communicate resolution to issues
Work with team to push content from development to production
Work with vendor/InfoComm stakeholders on upgrades and collaborate on configurations/customizations
Communicate updates and changes to the system/tools and processes
Test all changes to business processes or system configuration and update documentation
Assist with troubleshooting system issues and case submission to vendor
Create and run reports regarding content performance and use
Liaise with content stakeholders
Coordinate with training developers, graphic developers, video developers, and assessment item writers
Upload and manage content created by external vendors
Manage, validate and complete student/instructor edit requests to content and report on status and resolution of requests
Coordinate access and training for SME reviewers of content in LCMS
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree
3-5 years experience in content management database. LCMS experiences, particularly OutStart Evolution, a plus
Exceptional analytical skills and capacity for critical thinking, organization skills, project planning, working to meet specific timelines and deliverables and regularly communicate progress against goals
Able to work with minimal supervision, strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multi task
Strong customer service focus with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to executional excellence, accountability and teamwork
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Understanding of corporate department structure and inter-relationships
Ability to travel up to 20%
Desire to learn and build others know-how
Knowledge of, or desire to learn about, the AV industry and technologies and instructional design models
Experience in instructional design, online communications, and working with subject matter experts a plus
